Washington House Bill 2752 Enacted 3/25/98
Prohibits falsification of header information or misleading subject information in unsolicited commercial e-mail. Created a task force to
investigate the need for futher legislation.
Washington House Bill 1037 Enacted 7/25/99
Is an amendment to the already existing legislation that imposes penalties for falsifying header information, using an ISP to
send unsolicited commercial information against that ISP's commercial e-mail policy, and requires opt-out information to be
included in all unsolicited commercial e-mails.
